The following discourse has been translated into English from Bhagavan's Telugu speech as heard on this festival's ashram audiocassette. It is a complete, literal translation made with the objective of preserving Bhagavan's precious original poetic style as much as possible.

INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE OF BAL VIKAS GURUS

International Educare Conference Valedictory SANDESH

04-07-2001

Divine Discourse by

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba

Prashanthi Nilayam

No matter how much education is there, what respect will there be for you if there is no culture?

Even if there is intelligence, will there be any value in the world for you if there is no morality?

If there is authority without limitation, would they see you with respect in the world?

Without charity and Dharma, is it honorable for a man to search for the path of Truth?

To do all wrong things without fear of sin during childhood is wrong.

It is wrong!

Beyond this, what else is to be communicated to you, O gentle ones in this assembly with good qualities?

(Telugu poem)

Teachers Then and Now

Embodiments of Love!

Today if the earth is examined, one finds that water is going down deeper and deeper (Note: referring to the water table in the earth). Morals and justice are becoming nil (non-existent) in the situation of politics. Teachers are losing the valuable intelligence. If mankind is observed, the human values have disappeared.

In ancient times, teachers were kings of thyaaga (sacrifice, renunciation, detachment) and yoga (discipline, self-restraint). Teachers, who had fame like this, are today becoming kings of bhoga (enjoyment) and kaama (desire). The Truth that does not change with time, which doesn't move, which doesn't diminish with the final dissolution, which doesn't change after Creation, that Truth only has the form of ancient culture.

The reflection and the influence of this ancient culture are Bharata's eternal Dharma. However, forgetting an eternal and true Dharma like this, man is ruining his own life, struggling for these impermanent, physical desires. Man is unable to recognize what his own value is. Man is comparing his value in terms of money.

Where are gunas (one's qualities, attributes, or character)? No place at all can be seen for these gunas. Reducing gunas, forgetting his innate strength, he is offering his life for these selfish, worldly desires.

Life as Man is to Attain Atma Ananda

From ancient times, Bharatiyas practiced their spiritual nature and earned bliss. He (the man of those days) not only experienced that bliss, but he also shared it with all. Man of today is unable to imagine such an eternal and true bliss. Man may attain anything, but he is unable to attain Atma Ananda (the bliss of the Self).

Being born as a human being, one has come to attain Atma Ananda. Therefore such a form is called 'Man'. He is called M-A-N, man. M: giving up Maya (illusion); A: having darshan of the Atma; N: to attain Nirvaana (liberation from bondage) is the important inner meaning of 'man.' (Applause) Maya should be given up. One should have the vision of Atma. Nirvaana should be attained. Life as a human being has been gifted in order to inquire into these three qualities. Man of today is unable to realize this Truth.

Embodiments of Love!

First and foremost, when once we understand humanness, human values will be easily understood by us. Human values have arisen with man. They did not come after man. Therefore, unable to understand his own nature, man does not know why he is experiencing so many types of struggling.

What is the Purpose of Life?

"What is the aim of my life?" He is not able to know any answer to that question at all. "What is the purpose of my life?" If we know the meaning of this one question, we can understand everything in the world.

In man, there is fully all types of intelligence, jnana (wisdom), prajnana (the higher or spiritual knowledge), and sujnana (a higher technology than science) also. However, he is choosing ignorance, which is so far from him. But he is not inquiring into the eternal and true jnana thathwa (one's own reality), which is near him. Therefore, today it is necessary that we have to propagate human values.

Prabhava, Swabhava and Prarabdha

Man of today, drawn by prabhava (the impact of influences), is forgetting his swabhava (one's essential quality or very own nature). Prabhava means, or it can be said, that it is a type of prapthi (something obtained, not something natural or already there). It may be said that it is the impact or the results of sinful actions.

Swabhava means human qualities. It means the natural Dharmas of man. The swabhava of man is Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kaama (desire) and Moksha (liberation from attachment). He has changed such a swabhava and is ruining his life immersed in prabhava. Prabhava has the meaning of prarabdha (the present karma which has been selected from the past for present consumption/dissipation).

Today the world is not expecting spiritual teachings. These spiritual teachings take (consider) the heart as an altar. Divine feelings are not reaching the mind. In a situation like this, in what way can one attain swabhava? Therefore, we have to make the proper effort to change this prabhava into swabhava.

Prarabdha is not our swabhava. The destruction of prarabdha is our swabhava. The four goals of human life are swabhava. Today we are making distant such goals, which are our swabhava.

Swa + bhava = Swabhava. The bhava (emotion or mental attitude) of the Atma is our swabhava. This Atma bhava (spirituality) is Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, and Prema. Why should we make the effort to search for these? They are our nature.

Due to us forgetting such a true nature and only being drawn by artificial influences, we are struggling for this name and fame. We are offering our life for wealth, gold, things, and vehicles (material possessions and affluence). Has our life come for this purpose?

"Money must be earned, not qualities." This is the aim of the man of today. "Let qualities go away! Let anything happen to the human strength of Dharma in man, but wealth is needed." Man is struggling like this. Yet, there should also be this money.

The Four Goals of Human Life

However, among these four goals of human life, Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kaama (desire) and Moksha (liberation from attachment), Artha is second to Dharma. After Dharma, one should have Artha. Artha should be along with Dharma. Therefore, today how much Dharma do we have while earning money? Putting Dharma aside, we are practicing injustice, improper behavior, and unrighteous actions.

Embodiments of Love!

Dharma (righteousness), Artha (wealth), Kaama (desire), and Moksha (liberation from attachment) - today these four have to be changed into two. Only then we will not succumb to prabhava (the impact of influences) of prarabdha (present karma to be exhausted from past actions). Due to separating these goals into four, prarabdha is troubling us. Dharma and Artha should be made into one. We have to achieve Artha with Dharma.

Kaama and Moksha have to be made into one. What is our desire? To reach Moksha. What is our desire? The desire for Moksha only. We are forgetting this desire for liberation. We are struggling for worldly desires. We are being immersed in all types of prarabdha.

Money is essential. However, for everything a limit is necessary. Today, right from studying until dying, one is only running after money, money, money, money! Is this our work? Have you known what the word 'MAN' means? Maya has to be given up! Atma has to be recognized. Nirvaana should be attained. This is M-A-N, man. This true and eternal meaning of the word is being forgotten and we are developing these artificial feelings. We are living a polluted life. This is not our swabhava.

Today man wants bliss. What is the path to this bliss? What kind of bliss? Is it the joy we get out of the things in the world? No, no! This joy is temporary. Is it the joy that is related to the world? No, no, no, no! These ephemeral, temporary, worldly joys related to things and vehicles (material objects) are not the true bliss.

Self-Confidence and Faith

We are losing Self-confidence. Therefore, first and foremost, Self-confidence should be developed. Whenever there is Self-confidence through this Atma Ananda, we will attain Prema. Only when there is the faith, "She is my mother," we will develop love for her. Only when there is the faith, "He is my husband," she will love him. Without love, without faith, she will not love him. Therefore, only when faith is there, love will arise. Only when this love arises, peace will grow in us.

Peace, peace, peace, peace. Peace is not somewhere else. Peace is contained in our Love. Where did this Love come? It came from Faith. Love came from Faith. Peace comes to us from Love. From this Peace, Truth will be attained. Through this Truth, God can be attained.

Truth is God

Therefore, Truth is the embodiment of God. If we gain God, then only we will have Peace. Therefore, we should not do these many, useless types of vows and rituals for peace. We will not attain peace through these. Numerous people are undertaking vows for the peace of the world. This is all pure stunt. We will not get peace with this.

You develop Self-confidence first and foremost. When we have Self-confidence, we can get peace. Through this Self-confidence comes love; through love comes peace; through peace comes Truth; through Truth comes God; through God, we attain bliss. First and foremost, there should be faith. Finally there is bliss. This bliss only comes through faith.

Today there is no faith at all. There is faith in all that which is wrong. There is faith in words that are useless. There is faith in that which is unlasting. Faith in that which is eternal and true is not established.

Faith in God is going up and coming down. It is full of doubts. However, there should be no scope for doubt at all. We should achieve full and complete faith. Therefore, God is the only one who has to be trusted. We should not have faith in anyone in this world. We should not even have faith in anything in this world. All of them can be seen and then they disappear. However, the Truth that does not appear or disappear is bliss only. This bliss will never undergo any change. The one who obtains such a bliss that does not change is a true man.

A small example: Buddha, having done all Sadhana (spiritual discipline), was ready for the state of Nirvaana. (Note: He was about to drop the body, attaining full liberation) The son of his mother's sister, Anand (Buddha's cousin), came near. He saw that scene and he shed tears.

"Crazy fellow! Why are you shedding tears? Are you sorrowful because I will obtain Nirvaana? Nirvaana is the final state of every man. Something like that we should desire and hope for! But should we be sorrowful about it?" He called him near and then Buddha said, "Give up illusion. Have vision of the Self and gain liberation. This is the inner meaning of 'man'." Then only even Ananda followed this path.

All is God

Embodiments of Love!

The thing that we should do today is not acts of yajna (fire sacrifice) and yaga (sacrificial rites) nor japa and thapas (ascetic practices). The first and foremost thing we have to know is that our bliss is within ourselves. That Truth has to be recognized. This bliss is not something that changes. It doesn't move. It doesn't stir even a bit. However, in what way can you understand this bliss?

Nirgunam, Niranjanam, Sanathanam, Niketanam,

Nithya Suddha Buddha Mukta Nirmala Swarupam.

Attributeless, unsullied, eternal, always pure,

Pure intellect, free, unpolluted form.

(Sanskrit Sloka)

Sarvam Kalavidham Brahma.

All is Brahma (God).

(Sanskrit Sloka)

Sarvam Vishnu Mayam Jagat.

All this universe is pervaded by Vishnu (God).

(Sanskrit Sloka)

To understand these sacred words, we should develop good, sacred qualities in us. When we don't have any good qualities in us, in what way can we understand them? Therefore, first and foremost, we have to foster good qualities. Good qualities are for what? Not just for sadhana (spiritual practice), but in order to understand these sacred Divine verses (words).

It is said:

Sarvam Kalavidham Brahma.

All is Brahma (God).

(Sanskrit Sloka)

All is the swarupa (one's very own form) of Brahma. Every individual, every thing, every place, every matter, every sound - all are the swarupa of God. This sound, touch, sight, taste and smell, all of them also are swarupas (forms) of God only. To understand this, we have to enter into spirituality.

Truth Never Changes

Therefore, today we are making many efforts to understand the human values, Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, Prema and Ahimsa.

First and foremost is Truth. What does Truth mean? This is something that does not change.

Sathyam Brahma, Jnanam Brahma, Anantam Brahma.

Truth is God,

Wisdom is God,

Eternity is God.

(Sanskrit Sloka)

Such a Truth does not change. You are feeling that the words you say are this 'Truth'. That is a mistake.

Trikaala Baadhyam Sathyam.

Truth is changeless in all the three modes of time.

(past, present, and future)

(Sanskrit Sloka)

That which does not change, even in the three periods of time, is Sathya. That only is God. Therefore, Truth is God.

Dharma

Dharma, what is this Dharma? Are you thinking that if we do charity, yajna, and yaga, it is Dharma?

Dharayati iti Dharma.

That which sustains is Dharma.

(Sanskrit Sloka)

Dharma is that which we have worn. The works that we do are not the actual Dharma. All of these are a few moral actions. This is not Dharma. The feelings of Truth from the heart have to be put into action. The unity of Sathya and Dharma is the true Dharma. The work you are putting into action - that only is Truth. To experience this Sathya is Dharma. Dharma is not just physical activity. It is that which arises out of the heart.

Peace

Peace, what does Peace mean? Our crown of Peace, which shines at the time of Nirvaana, that only is our Peace. The crown of every single man is Peace. No matter what an individual asks, he aspires, "I want Peace." Where is this Peace?

You are the embodiment of Peace.

You only have to think for yourself, "My peace is with me."

I am the embodiment of Peace!

I am the embodiment of Truth!

I am the embodiment of Dharma!

Education Today

"All is only me, only me, only me." You have to have that faith in the Atma Thathwa (reality of the Spirit). Without having faith in the Atma Thathwa, by mere verbal expression and writings, it is not true Truth and Dharma.

Today, all the knowledge learned by children who are studying is secular (worldly) knowledge (learning). They are seeing the books and they are studying. They are going to the examination and writing that which they have studied. They pass and they obtain a degree. What for is this degree? Only for their livelihood.

In spite of his education and intelligence,

a foolish man will not know his true Self,

and a mean-minded person

will not give up his wicked qualities.

Modern education leads only to

argumentation, not to total wisdom.

This is only physical, worldly, secular,

impermanent, unlasting knowledge,

and cannot lead to the attainment

Of full Jnana or wisdom.

What is the use of acquiring worldly education

if it cannot lead you to acquire Immortality?

Acquire the knowledge that will make you Immortal.

(Telugu poem)

How many subjects you are taking! How many specialties you are entering into! All of this is not for the welfare of the world or the bliss of the world. It is for one's own selfishness, for one's own self-interests. If you want peace for the welfare of the world, you should undertake sacred actions. Love all your fellow human beings. Give bliss to your fellow human beings. That is the work that you should do.

Therefore, Sathya, Dharma, Shanti and Prema are not brought about just by verbal expression. They come from the heart. Due to us explaining only in vocal expression Sathya, Dharma, Shanti, and Prema, which come out of the heart, we are succumbing to doubt to some extent. So, first and foremost, realize every single thing is in every human being. Hence, in the very beginning, faith should be developed. Without this faith, everything will be destroyed.

Changes Needed

Therefore, for every single man, first and foremost that which is needed is spiritual change. After that, Association changes. After that, each one should change themselves individually. If this individual change should come, society change is needed. If this society change is desired, spiritual change is needed. Spiritual is 'S', Association 'A', Individual 'I'. This only is 'SAI.' (Applause)

These are the works that Sai does - spiritual change, association change, and individual change (Applause). This only is called 'karma upasana jnana' (the three paths of action, worship, and wisdom). This 'karma' means Service. That only is 'karma'. Adoration- this is 'upasana' (worship). Illumination - that is 'jnana.' That is S-A-I, Sai. (Applause) That which teaches karma, upasana, and jnana is the inner meaning of the word 'SAI'. Only when we understand the inner meaning of every single word like this, we will be sanctified.

This Conference

In this way, today the Sathya Sai Bal Vikas teachers, so many thousands of people, have arrived here. Secular knowledge also is certainly necessary. Children should be taught from this level. You may believe it or not, elsewhere some types of conferences take place. If one goes to those conferences, if there are 10,000 delegates in that conference, out of 10,000 delegates, not even ten people will be in the meeting! (Applause)

However, in our association, in our meeting, not even one person moves away from it. (Applause) A conference like this does not happen anywhere in the world. Even when I know everything, I go and look through the screen (Note: the curtains of the Poornachandra Hall, where the conference meetings were held) as if I don't know anything. (Laughter and applause) I am watching from above, seeing who is moving, who is getting up and leaving. However, some people are getting up due to there being some physical inconveniences. Therefore, they are getting up. (Laughter) However, in our association, they don't get up at all because they don't want to stay. So, in the conference, there is a lot of sraddha (steady faith, interest, steadfastness, devotion) and bhakthi (true devotion, the highest form of Love for God).

Hence, conferences like this should be held more often and more members should be prepared. They should also be taught all the new procedures. Only then will this gradually spread throughout the whole world. Through spreading worldwide, it will fill the whole universe.

Our Prime Minister Vajpayee wrote a letter yesterday. He said, "Swami! Our government associates or powers cannot do any of this. This is not possible for anyone to do except You." (Applause) "You have to take even more of this responsibility. This should also be started for the government. You should do these works without fail." He also wrote and sent a letter to Indulal Shah.

Paapam! (meaning, What a shame!) They are writing with love. But thinking that they wrote out of love, still we should not enter into government. (Laughter) Why? Because their natures are different. Their influences are different. Our bliss is different. Our experiences are different. Our practices are different. So, we will look after what is ours. We are not entering into anything like this.

So many types of conferences are going on. Is there any type of subscription or fees? No. Each one is eating (buying or taking care of) their own food. Each one is in their own space (taking care of their own accommodation). With a heart full of bliss, they freely experience bliss.

Conferences like this should not only be one time a year. There should be three in a year. The ones who come for one conference should not come to the second conference. They should take (invite, encourage) new people. We have to struggle any amount regarding this type of education purpose.

Students Nowadays

There are negative influences facing students today. They are studying. They are becoming very greatly educated. They are getting degrees. They are studying to be doctors. They become engineers. However, they don't enter into work at all. What is all this studying? Is this education? All education is polluted education.

If one passes as a doctor, the moment the degree is taken, he is going to get a passport to go to America. Is this the work that is done? When all these people who have studied as doctors go there, seeing the temperature (thermometer), they cannot say how much heat it is! (Note: It means that they don't even know how to read a thermometer!) (Laughter) Finally, what are they saying now? When more heat comes to the thermometer and less to the patient, he'll say that the thermometer has a fever! (Laughter)

Then, if we see the engineers, we need not speak about it (Note: as the situation is well known). All of this has become some type of drama. In our college, even if you call a small first standard boy and ask anything, he will give an answer to everything. Hence, our children know everything. But they don't put it into practice. Swami knows everything.

He knows everything.

Whatever He does, it is good for me.

But what is this? If you say, "It is good for me," then what happened to your intelligence? When you feel, "It is good for me," then why shouldn't you follow it? Due to this (pretense of virtue), devotees, having this type of 'donga buddhulu' (deceitful or sly intention or state of mind) are remaining as students. I don't want this type of people. Those that speak should practice.

Teachers and Practical Science

A small example: In every single matter, you are all teachers. All students should be great students. If one student goes bad, only that student will go bad. However, if one teacher goes bad, numerous students will go bad. Therefore, teachers should be very careful.

It is no use just thinking or saying something like, "I went and attended the Conference. I saw everything there and came." You have to go out and propagate all that you have done, seen, and experienced here. You have to enter into practical science (putting what you have heard and experienced into practice). Don't only hear the platform speech. Today, all are heroes in platform speeches, but zeros in practice. What use is it? In practical science (application), there is nothing at all. Our students or teachers should be good heroes in the practical sense.

Talk Less and Work More

So, you have come and spent three days here. You have experienced so much in these three days. Share with all the bliss that you have experienced. So, you should reduce your speech and increase your work. Talk less, work more. I am doing only that now. Since ten days, I am not talking too much with anyone.

What is the reason? I am telling all the children (students), "Talk less, talk less, talk less." However, our students are not lacking in intelligence. They may think, "Swami is saying, 'Talk less,' but Swami is talking more!" (Laughter) There are also people with such narrow thinking. Therefore, I am talking less. This is only to teach them, not for Me. If I talk less, they will also talk less. Therefore, in every single thing, we should have limited speech. In this reduced speech, boundless bliss has to be gained.

Reflection, Reaction, Resound

We have to hope for bliss. This bliss does not come to us from outside. That bliss comes from within. Our own bliss is reflected. You see everyone and say, "He is like this. That one is like that. She is like this." We are saying that they are 'bad' or 'good'.

There are actually no 'bad' people at all. No one has any faults at all. The opinions you yourself have for them are only 'bad' to you. It is reflected onto them. So, if you think that the person in front of you is 'bad', your 'bad' is entering into him. You are able to see your own 'bad' in the other.

If every single individual understands this truth, they will not say that anyone is bad. Every work and everything that happens in this world is a reflection, reaction, and resound. Hence they (both the good and the bad) are ours. They are not coming from outside. Therefore, let us be good with everybody. Let us obtain good love and bring everyone together through this influence of love.

However, we should just see that our swabhava does not change. Swabhava only is our purushartha (the four goals of human life). That purushartha is our true swarupa. We should obtain that form.

Embodiments of Love!

You told about so many matters. I have been listening. Yet everyone has taught in so many ways, according to their own experiences. But to make that experience firm in the mind, you should also keep it in practice. And we have to make the effort to teach it to others. Do only that. But it is not possible for Me to say again what you have already spoken.

Atma Swarupa

I am only saying one thing - one thing only. We have been born as human beings. What is that which we have to achieve as humans? That is, making illusion distant, we must have the vision of Atma, and liberation should be attained. For what have we been born? We have been born for liberation.

Before attaining liberation, there has to be Darshan (vision) of the Atma. Where is this Atma? You only are Atma. Atma is your swarupa. But you are seeing this physical body as your swarupa.

You are not the physical body.

This is only a temporary body.

Body is like a water bubble.

Mind is like a mad monkey.

Don't follow the body.

Don't follow the mind.

Follow the conscience.

Your conscience is your swarupa. That only is your true swarupa. So, what do you think that Atma darshan is? It is not us going somewhere and having darshan. We have to change our outer vision to inner vision. Then only it will be possible to understand our true swarupa.

One individual was criticizing a second individual. However, the friend of the person who was being criticized came and said, "What is this? When he is criticizing you so much, you are keeping your mouth shut and are just sitting! Why don't you give him a couple of hits?"

Then he (the second individual) said, "Sir! There is the same Atma in this body. The Atma in the body that is being criticized is the same Atma in the body that is criticizing. So who criticized whom? He is criticizing himself. So why should I have anger? He is loving himself."

In this world, who is loving whom? Who is hating whom? If that inquiry is done, one discovers that he is loving himself and he is hating himself. Only that, as there are no others. There are no others. Others are oneself. Due to attachment to the body, one feels that one is separate. So as long as there is this attachment to the body, you are the other. When you give up the body attachment, you are not the other. You are your own. This is the true Atma darshan.

Atma is not a separate form. Bliss is Atma. That only is Chaitanya (Divine Consciousness). Atma, that Consciousness, only is bliss. Therefore, all of Consciousness is Atma Ananda.

Conscious - this is the senses. Conscience is the witness. Consciousness is Atma. Consciousness, conscience, conscious. It has to be seen that these three are in unity. So, you have to go towards Consciousness. That is Atma Thathwa. That is Illumination. We have to catch hold of that Illumination.

However, we have to understand adoration. If this adoration has to be understood, service has to be entered into. Service, service, service. As for as possible, we should help someone. There is true bliss in this service.

Not Listening

Embodiments of Love!

You may have been disappointed that I haven't talked these three days. However, I am always with you and I am hearing all about these matters. (Applause) I don't have any anger, difficulty, or disgust for anyone.

However, there is one difficulty. Even that difficulty is not painful to Me. 'What is this? No matter however much is said, they are not listening. In what way will they get better? There is no opportunity at all for them to improve! What is the use of talking with them? What is the use in coming so near?'

That type of difficulty is there, but there is no anger towards anyone. 'They are not trying to understand the Truth. What is the reason? They are mean (petty, small)-minded.' I have Infinite feelings. So, there is so much difference between petty-mindedness and Infinite-minded. Hence, the two should become one.

The Signature of Love

A small example for this: You earned money. You earned it and deposited it in the bank. 'But this is the money which I earned, my money. I put it in the bank.' Thinking like that, if you go to the bank and say, "Sir, give me back my money," will he give it? He won't give it.

Your money is there, yet there are a few procedures for this (to get it out): "You sign the cheque given to you and come. Then I will give you your money." What does it mean? The bank personnel gave you a chequebook. In that chequebook (on a cheque), you have to put your signature and then you must give it. After that, he will give you back your money, which you have kept in the bank.

Therefore, your bank cheque is Maya. Your signature is Prema. You give this Maya with love to him and your money will come back to you. This signature of love is not being done. When the signature of love is not done, how can the bank personnel give you your money?

Therefore, God only is the Bank Manager in the bank. (Applause) Give to Him the chequebook with Prema. If the cheque containing the signature of love is given, without fail, He will give your money to you.

Even those who have studied so much are not wise enough to know that they must sign the cheque and give it to him (the bank manager) before he will give the money. Someone's wife was uneducated. The husband was going somewhere. He put money in the bank and gave her a chequebook. He said, "When you need it, take it." She said, "What is this? If you only give the chequebook in my hand, what should I give the bank manager in order to get the money?"

He said. "You are my wife. So, sign your signature and send it." She didn't know anything. Paapam! (What a shame!) She took the chequebook and she wrote in it, "your wife". (Laughter and applause) How will the bank manager give the money? Hence, some people also take this sort of a meaning in this way. "You are my wife. Write your name and send it. But don't write 'wife'!" How are the procedures today? They are writing 'wife'. They do not make the wife write her signature.

This kind of education is only becoming all utterly ruined education. Due to this education, humankind is becoming very polluted. The pollution of the mind is very awful. Wherever is seen, there is mental pollution. When there is this mental pollution, in what way can man progress? No matter how much education is studied, no matter what exalted positions are gained, no matter how much name and fame are earned, if that which should be known is not known, all of these will become useless.

Truly, if we want to live in the world, if we know only one thing, it is enough: I am Atma swarupa. All are Atma swarupa only. If this is the thought, it is enough. With this, even if nothing bad happens, good will happen. Therefore, if you know just that, it is enough. All are Atma swarupa only. Due to you not being able to understand such subtle points, you are succumbing to numerous sorrows.

However, there is tomorrow's day. (Note: The following day is Guru Poornima.) Tomorrow I will tell about what is important; what is the goal of man; what is the ultimate of man; what is the Truth of man; what is the bliss of man; and what is the food of man. (Applause)

Bhagavan ended His Divine Discourse by chanting the bhajan, "Hari Bhajana Bina Sukha Shanti Nahi…"
